Sailor's love

Amor de Marinero ( Sailor's Love) Rose is a symbol of love, beauty, and spring, which in fine art is associated with the feminine element. For example, in the Greek mythology rose became in full bloom when Aphrodite, the Greek love goddess, was born from the sea foam. This event was reflected in famous paintings Allegory of Spring and Birth of Venus by Sandro Botticelli. In the picture, the ship rushing ahead means resolution, persistence, and symbolizes the masculine element. The curtain that sways in the wind, as though it were caressing and supporting the rose, her look through the open windows emphasize the emotional “bond” between the rose and her sweetheart. It can be seen that the topic of the picture has much in common with the topic of the earlier work by the artist named Rose Awaiting.
